As 2017 winds down, we invite everyone to join us for this year’s final Science Night! (Don’t worry, we’ll be back in 2018). Join us on Thursday, December 14 for Science Night with the MagLab at Barnes & Noble. This month we will be celebrating the holiday season with lights, lasers, and rainbows!

If you go:
MagLab Science Night starts at 6:30 PM inside Barnes and Noble (2415 N. Monroe St.) in the Centre of Tallahassee. It lasts 30-45 minutes. The activity is appropriate for ages 4-12, but all ages are invited to come.

-Donuts for Dads is this Thursday, Dec. 14
-Powder Puff football game is Tuesday, Dec. 19, $2.00
-Class Christmas party is Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 2:30
-Christmas Program is Thursday, Dec. 21 at 9:00
-Thursday, Dec. 21 is a half day

Math-We have been working on 2-digit addition of up to four numbers with regrouping. The test is scheduled for Wed. Dec. 13.

ELA-We have started the 2nd nine weeks extended text, Midnight on the Moon and this will take us up through Christmas break. We will not have a spelling or reading test on this chapter book. Students can follow along as I read-aloud the story, and we will be completing follow-up activities in class.

**Christmas Idea**
Please consider purchasing school supplies as stocking stuffers for your student. Many students are in need of new zipper pouches, glue sticks, hand-held erasers, and crayons.

Our First Friday STEM day will be Monday. We will be working on making a functional windmill. I believe we have all the necessary supplies in class, but will make a post later in the week if it looks like there are materials we need.

Tomorrow students will test over Super Storms. This will be our last Reading test from Journeys prior to Christmas Break. No Reading homework is being given tonight. Please have your child study for his/her test. Friday we will begin reading Amber Brown is Not a Crayon.
